Material Skin no ramplay ??
#1
Wink
LMS and material skin.. have uploaded files to ramdisk but there is no option to play from ramdisk in material skin ??

Reverting to stock LMS and await enlightenment :-)

Edit AARRGGHH ! how the fudge does one get rid of the material skin ?
It has taken over my box :-(

OK got rid of the dire MS and found Home>Music folder>ram and now playing.... oh, yearn for the simplicity of a working MPD where this would just work.
LMS =Lost My Sh*t.....again!
:-)

So how do I add a folder to Ramplay ?
currently if I add music the files make one big grunch of 01 another 01 another 01 etc  what am I missing here ?
The option presented is"The following files will be copied to your RAM drive:1995-Howlin_"
Note the 'Files' no option for Folders. scratches head...
I have a 20GB tmpfs drive and would love to populate it but can't add folders...only files which make a big blancmange of goo ;-)

:-)

Are you doing this from the browse page or something else? Will try and look into the code later today.

Should be straight forward to add folder support if needed (I think, will have to confirm later).

If you want to investigate anything then the 'more than one NAS entry' is the one to fix :-)

Wifelet says 'can we hear xyz" and it is on the other NAS so have to teardown Snakeoil drives and reconfigure for the other NAS to play it then 'what about  zxy can we hear that ?'
and teardown reconfigure add etc etc just for the next track... over and over then give in and  load some OS that does do 2 NAS like MoOde or Daphile
So yes the 2 NAS or more fix would be up there for usability :-) :-)

As an interim you can switch to NFS file sharing? That should work with multiple NAS. Having said that I personally prefer CIFS (and I don't know why).

Just setup a second fake NAS for me to test this. But working on myMPD atm, and then the ability to disable myMPD as an option will be next. Once that is done I will start working on the multiple NAS stuffs.
