[SOLVED] Android + MPD
#1
Hi guys,
i usually use Squezze Ctrl  on my Android smartphone to connecto to SnakeOil Music Library.
it is a very good product.
Unfortunately it works only with Squeezelite. no MPD support

What do you use with MPD?
I really would like to test the MPD sound

The biggest thing holding me back from using MPD is really the lack of client support. I was using ncmpc via a mobile ssh client as everything i tried last year was kindda frustrating to use (heard it's even worse on the iOS platform! ROFL)

This Mupeace looks good! And I like the hog design of their icon. Thumbs Up

If you have a spare Raspberry pi and want simply the best MPD iteration (both SQ and navigation) then try MoOde......
http://moodeaudio.org/

Arm and Pi only,  so there are compromises for outputs.... Usb on Pi is shared with Eth0 :-( ..... i2s is crippled by the pi oscillator ... many add on boards seek to cure this.....Kali reclocker.......
https://www.allo.com/sparky/kali-reclocker.html

All in all the x86_amd64 base for Snakeoil transcends many of these arm shortcomings...!!  :-)

If the MPD performance and control (including streams) was integrated into Snakeoil then it would lift Snakeoil above other LMS based distros such as Daphile...;-)
