An update. Not entirely sure what the problem is yet, I have filed a bug report with the author of myMPD and hope to have a response soon.

Not quite "official", as I only "reversed" the search result. Can you guys upload this new module and check if this is working well now? Hopefully the author of myMPD can point me to the right way on why it's doing this.
mympd-Fix-1_0_2-armv7l.fw (Size: 385.6 KB / Downloads: 15)
mympd-Fix-1_0_2-i686.fw (Size: 442.53 KB / Downloads: 4)
mympd-Fix-1_0_2-x86_64.fw (Size: 426.56 KB / Downloads: 41)
Restart the computer after applying this upgrade for good measure.
Got to say I'm abit tempted to switch to MPD now as myMPD UI is so good ...
But man MPD just makes modern pop music sound really really bad!

Hi,
Just tried but it errors out. It looks like there's an slash missing in the install script with regards to the mympd directory-
"Decrypting File: mympd-Fix-1_0_1-x86_64.fw
Please wait, verifying file contents...
Uploaded file is a Snakeoil OS Module
chmod: cannot access '/usr/local/binmympd': No such file or directory
Install has finished, please click the close button below to exit."
And yup, mpd really does show which recordings are good and which are rubbish.

Ah dammit... Wasn't paying proper attention last night!! Grr.. I'll try and re-spin a new version soonish. (mympd-Fix-1_0_2-*.fw will remove that error).
Edit: Ah.. You can safely ignore that error for now. You should still be getting the new myMPD build. Let me know how it goes in CoverGrid mode. Note that for this view to work, you need:
* To tag your albums correctly. specifically the Track ID, it can only has 1 track with the track number of 1.
* If none of your tracks are tagged, then the album will not show up in CoverGrid
* If more than 1 track is tagged as track #1, then the album will show up repeatedly.

That worked ! No more duplicates in covergrid view
Had to clear the cache (myMPD>settings>advanced> cleared both app and cover caches then did a database rescan and update.... took a very long time but now works correctly.!

For the most part, it seems to work. I not sure why, but some albums show up twice, but it's definitely better.

If it's still duplicate, then the problem is duplicate files with the 1 in the track tag. as shown here:
Can't have multiple #1's in there. They will be repeated. Just re-tag correctly and it will show up properly again. Also, I expect any album with a missing track field of 1 will not show up in this view as well. As the author mentioned in the ticket, this is probably the best/fastest way of looking things up. Anything else is too processor intensive.
While this new fix is working, I'm actually doing the opposite! i.e. I've hacked myMPD to return me all songs with track numbers that's not numbered 1.... And it's returning me all tracks that's numbered 1.. In the original code, it was asking for all tracks that's numbered 1, and it's returning all the songs from track #2 onwards (hence if you have 10 tracks in an album, only 9 showed up).
Will try and fix this proper later when I can dig deeper.

Ah! It's the double disc albums because my tags are "Disc 2, track 1, 2, 3" etc. Time for some track renumbering I guess.
