How do I setup MPD. How do I connect to the server from my windows pc. Do I use ssh with putty? LMS is much easier to config. Which server does sound best? I want to config MPD , the samplerates and I want to add qobuz and tidal plugin. Do not understand MPD till now. Only get my libary running in the standard modus. Can someone explane me how to config MPD?

LMS crossfade/gapless not working, gapless playback is working on MPD perfectly.

thx for the link, but I can not run activate edition, I am running alpha.
Qobuz and Tidal are difficult to config as I read on the wiki page. Api ID, secret key etc.

While I prefer Mpd, I am using LMS for Tidal. It works well. There are unresolved problems with Mpd and Tidal. Not using Qobuz.

While I prefer Mpd, I am using LMS for Tidal. It works well. There are unresolved problems with Mpd and Tidal. Not using Qobuz.

I am running to more problems with LMS, seeking in songs/ going forward inside a song? (I can not find the right therm) and gapless playback do not work. Those things working in Daphile fine, also linux/LMS. Mayybe I better wait for the final release? Oh and with latest install I did not get my DAC running.

Can you please be more specific and provide more details, when reporting problems. Details of hardware. What version of LMS and Squeezelite? What plugins if any? I assume FLAC files?

Yeah I am sorry I didn't, yes I am playing flac files. I am running snakeoilOS alpha3 on a nuc10i3FNH. I use a dac FiiO K5 pro (hires). LMS version R2. Plugins like Tidal and Qobuz installed BBCsounds. The dac is not detected so i can not setup lms client (R2) I installed snakeoil on top of Ubuntu 20.04 Lts. The dac is detected in ubuntu. But when snakeoil is installing when boating the system it lost connection LMS version is the latest install (version 8.x can not check it now

Somehow I got the dac running. Now seeking inside songs and gapless playback to solve. Logitech Media Server Versie: 8.0.1

I did get my dac running but now it is disconnected again and I do not get it back.

... did reinstall the system got the dac running. again leave it like this because gaplles and seeking is working also, so no reason to tweak or anything else.

Does get confusing when you have 3 threads with overlapping problems!

I have been running SnakeOil on an Intel NUC 8I5BEH for a number of years. Currently running 1.2 Alpha4, which you may want to try. Your DAC problem could be hardware related. Suggest swapping USB cables, swapping USB ports from back to front on NUC or vice versa. I have not problems running Tidal and gapless playback with Logitech Media Server Version: 8.1.1, using upmpdcli as the client.

Logitech Media Server Versie: 8.0.1 - 1606059084 @ Sun Nov 22 16:42:48 CET 2020: Do not know how to upgrade to 8.1.1, but on 8.0.1 everything is running.

Only difficult to set up DAC, runnig 1.2.0.4-alpha now. But with a certain work arround by myself I get it done.
