[SOLVED] No connection to USB DAC

It was a bit confusing for me. But when I was installing the software via the Live option and go through the tabs one by one I could enter the card and device where ymy USB DAC resides in the tab 'Hardware'.
Although my USB DAC was directly found by the software without any problem my DAC itself indicated that it didn't have a connection yet.
However until after selecting a player in the 'software' tab the connection was established (indicator LED on the DAC itself turned from blinking to steady).

So it seems that you have to fill both hardware and software tabs to get the DAC to connect properly.

Good point on the confusion.

In the future I will work on a "first setup wizard" that will go through everything, hopefully that will be less confusing.
