Oh NO! Big Grin

Does it mean that Ubuntu 22.04 is better than 20.04?  And I thought I could take a rest from upgrading for a while?

That's why I've invested 1 more ssd HD in my NUC to serve the OS rolling.
And I guess the next target OS is the RT kernel of Ubuntu, which was claimed to be released in coming April. (not the beta one)

For me it is a lot more complicated. I will have to build a new real time kernel for 22.04. And I have forgotten a lot of what I need to do. I do not have 2 SSDs but use Clonezilla to swap instances.

The upcoming RT kernel is only a starting point. The kernel can be further optimised and made smaller. This is where AK's kernel builder will help.

So, have to think more of about whether I want the pain of changing over???

Maybe just install 1 more SSD for the OS and stay with the UbuntuStudio 22.04 kernel until AK's custom kernel builder is ready.  That makes the days easier.

What version of raspbian are you using?

I have tested this against the img around 2 months ago, but havn't tested much since as I've limited time. Can you expand more on "doesn't start"? No login screen at all or?

It also says this in the 1st post (I think Ubuntu studio is a desktop Ubuntu)

---

Some highlights:
  • Updated installer so it will work on newer Ubuntu LTS, and Ubuntu Studio.

Sorry, the Wiki has not yet been updated. Ubuntu Studio and 22.04 became official a week ago. I am still using Ubuntu Server 20.04 and suggest you start there.
