andyhibbsuk Yamaha setup
#1
Hi all,
I've recently become a Snakeoil member.
Very happy with Snakeoil OS. Running it on a Vortebox mini server at the moment.
Am using a Yamaha CA-400 with Squeezebox via pi3 and Hifiberry dac+ pro and Tannoy DC4T speakers.

Thanks for all your hard work agent_kith.

Love the wood paneling and the Yamaha knobs!

The Snakeoil project is going to focus more on the Raspberry Pi moving forward. Just have to give me a few weeks to sort out my home Internet issues! LOL, my telephone point (We Australians are still using telephone lines for our Internet) is behind my Hifi equipment, and need to remove parts my Hifi so the service tech can get into the physical point..

Pi4 looks like a really great platform for Hifi, so hopefully will be able to tweak the heck out of it in the future.

Then, I hope it'll provide a M2 ssd slot soon. Big Grin

There's this: Link

I have the original Argon One and it's really good. This new revision adds M2 SSD support (via USB 3), and also allow me to hardware override the PWR button. This is a must have for me but alas I have quit my job late last year so am bunkering down my finances so can't get this until I get a new job.

Got it, Good luck!
And I hope the M2 support NVMe, too.  (am I too greedy? Tongue )
