Turns out samba server isn't installed Blush. Sent you a PM on the steps to activate this service. This will be fixed in the official image file.

New build probably don't matter much. Can always run apt update to get the latest packages.
Ok to run update then I will and see what transpires.... Wink Cool

Usually nothing.  Big Grin For the most part mpd and squeezelite is using custom compiled libs so are largely unaffected.

Still a good idea to update so as to remove any known security vulnerabilities. I think the next update will have a system button to perform the update.
It felt like an eternity, but the Pi build is almost ready for release. Thumbs Up

Just need to finish up the documentations in the manual. Although the file tagged as release 1.1.0, the Pi edition is really closer to 1.1.1 in terms of features. Once 1.1.1 is officially released all 3 editions will par up.

There is no rest for the wicked Sick. The Pi edition took up a lot of my spare time, but I hope you guys will enjoy it upon release.
When the Pi edition will be released, i'd start working on other ARM boards...

Expressobin and Rock64 have been suggested, any other boards worth considering?

I'm trying to build a list. Note that the hardware will be purchased with the donation money so I cannot go crazy here and support everything.

Edit: Forgot to mention. Need to wait for the Pi code to stablise, so any work on other boards will realistically only happen in the new year.
Pi edition is now live. If you want to try this on your Pi, go to the 1.1.0 thread and download the image.

I2S boards are supported. e.g. Hifiberry, and with LIRC support added, it'd actually be a functional little box. With microsd cards up to 256 GB available for cheap now, I'm thinking of doing something similiar (with an OLED screen) and use this at work.

As this is a first release, expect bugs and issues. Any issues will be resolved in 1.1.1. That is when the Intel/AMD and armv7 code will sync up.
Great news ! Thanks for this AK.. Cool

I will try the release against my Lirc and Oled installs then finalise and post the walk-troughs for those this weekend... (we have a Labour day holiday so some spare time for this Smile )
