I could access the web app with this URL: http://ubuntu-snakeoil.local (not http://snakeoil.local) but the problem remained.

Then in my router I reserved another ip address (192.168.1.202) for the snakeoil machine and restarted it. The web app then showed the new ip address, still with DHCP of course.

Then I logged in with the new ip address. However, I then bumped into a similar problem when trying to change the Music Player: the save button does appear, but is disabled.

And now when I try to access the web app with http://ubuntu-snakeoil.local, I get this error:

Something is not right in your setup. Do you see the square beside dashboard in the above pic? This means your browser did not manage to download a file (font awesome) properly. If you press F12 and look at the console,  you will potentially see some errors.

What firewall and antivirus do you have in your network? Not just the softwares installed on your macahine, but anything that's layer 3 or above.
Do you have VPN enabled in your machine or network? If yes, disable them and try again.

Can you go to https://demo.snakeoil-os.net/ and try and see if the save button is enabled when you make a change?

Update: now suddenly i can update my Music Player, so maybe all will be well... I will continue the setup and keep you posted. Thanks for helping out!
