Introduction
Last month, one of my HDD died. I inadvertently deleted the wrong RAID volume, and lost all my development work .
Now, I have a new NAS, re-build all the virtual machines, and basically right now I'm kind of back to I'm at around mind January, and then some. It was a painful experience, but maybe there's a silver lining.
Anyway here's a new release! It's not much I know, but MPD and Squeezelite and now rebuilt with Ubuntu's 18.04's development tools. Not really sure why but it seems to sound better. Or maybe it's my new NAS that caused this improvement . Or maybe it's because I have to re-build the development machines from scratch.
Whatever the reason for the sound improvement, note that your mileage may vary.
Before we continue, if you are unfamiliar with computers, please wait a few days for other users to report back just in case there are issues. Because this firmware is built with completely new development, build and test machines, there is always a possibility it has introduced some problems.
For the more adventurous, this firmware includes 0.21.4! And that means you can use your tidal and Qobuz subscriptions! Tidal requires an OAuth code to work, please google the net to find out how to do this. I will improve the GUI to make all this easier in subsequent releases.
As always, enjoy the music .
