There's your problem.
Do not install apache2, or phpmyadmin, or LAMP or mail server.
And you disabled apache2 anyway and that'll disable most of the things you have installed. This is going to break the WebApp.
Of cause you can change things to make it work (e.g. change the port address of apache2 or lighttpd) but that will not be officially supported for now.
Tried to back out ans uninstall all that stuff .... I reran the install script, and everything worked for a few min
then I rebooted.
Seems I was a little over zealous when i apt purged the LAMP stack.. and completely messed things up ..
re-installed ubuntu server (20:10 LTS for safety sake) .. ran the install script ...BOOOM everything works ... seems to be MUCH more in the web interface so despite it seemingly working before, I think it's finally working correctly.
My Fault completely ....
On to actual testing ..
