the OS works fine with MPD and Bubble (Android)
but the Dashboard is unusable......even to update

So strange, even I've flashed or reinstalled many times stable/beta version in these years, I never see that problem.

If a force refresh didn't fix this, try and sideload the latest 1.2.6 and see if that works. If anything updating via sideload will give you a functional/working WebApp. See the instructions on how to do the sideload process here: https://www.snakeoil-os.net/wiki/Advance...l-firmware
Note: Sideload means update via another means.

There are other ways the WebApp can be broken, e.g. when you disable javascript in the browser, and both of your Android and Desktop have this setting synced. There's always possibilities, but can't know for certain without more details.

My turn with the horror dashboard!
NBN is down and I have had no internet access for a few days. I can SSH into instance but cannot access the Dashboard via browser. Using latest firmware. It seems like it is expecting fonts from an online source and when it does not have access, that horror dashboard appears.
