Any Interest in ARMv7 builds

yes, that was the first thing I did.... no change...
I am reinstalling and trying again....I've updated firmware on the pi, enabled everything that needs enabling...
Lirc seems to be working but not registering input from the /dev/lirc0....
I know the remotes and receivers are good as they work elsewhere...
I know the pins are correct....

There should be a file called /var/log/lircd.log. Include the last few lines here and I'd have a quick look.

Also last line of dmesg is...

Hmmm.. Still at work so can't work this out. Will see if i can get some time to look into this later today, and if not the weekend.

In the mean time. Modify /config.txt and comment out the 'kernel=' line. This will fall back to the stock kernel. See if that works. That should tell me if it's a software that's missing in the OS, or a module that's missing in the RT kernel.

It's the RT kernel...Wink     LIRC works exactly as it should after commenting it out and rebooting.

Cool, that means I've forgotten to include one of the modules. Can you cut and paste the contents of /proc/modules? I'd have to take a look at that.

Hope it's just that I'm missed a driver, and not because lirc actually requires lirc to be loaded as a module.. That'd will suck... Cry Cry

lirc_rpi... Not entirely sure what that is, but just the name tells me probably need to include that for this to work (I need a facepalm emoji here)...

Will update the kernel and let you know when it's ready.

Code:
pi@snakeoil:~ $ lsmod | grep lirc

On the stock kernel I now have Lirc working to control mpd. Smile starts at boot. Only had to add a couple of other packages.
All the usual stop play pause navigation and shutdown.
Tomorrow I will reinstall the Oled display and test all together.

I don't know enough about LMS  to get it running there... perhaps a LMS user could try that...I would be happy to help
