I use Acourate to generate filters for Digital Room Correction.
It would be nice if Snakeoil would support such filters.
For example: Daphile has a BruteFir plugin to enable this feature.

Hmm. Havn't used BruteFir before. Will research on this when I can. Will let you know when I have something ready for you to test.

Would like to revive this thread. Minimserver now has a section on convolution
https://minimstreamer.com/userguide.html...0filtering
There is also a package for Convolution
https://convofs.net
Can either be used to add Convolution to the Snakeoil environment, without a user having to go under the hood?

I'll have a look at this later and see if I can add this in.

Thank you. While I know room correction and have used a number of packages, I am not good under the hood. Ideally, Snakeoil should allow a user to enable convolution and set up the filters.
For those who are new to room correction, you will need a calibrated microphone e.g. UMIK-1 and the process to measure and generate the filters is well documented in this step by step guide (written for Roon users).

Lodged this as a ticket so I don't forget. Not sure when it'll be ready but at least it's on my TODO list now.

It turns out to be relatively easy to get convolution going with Minimserver. Steps: - Enable Minimserver in Snakeoil
- Update ffmpeg to version 4.1 under the hood
- On laptop, install Minimwatch, which monitors Minimserver instances
- Using Minimwatch, install Minimstreamer (Packages tab)
- Using Minimwatch, in System tab, follow Convolution instructions to set up

Nice work! Apologies as I've been really slack on this (one man show makes it hard to balance everything).
I'll try and automate this in U5.
Think it's about time to revamp how the players are started, use checkboxes instead of radio buttons will allow you pick and choose exactly what you want to start.

Wasn't meaning to pressure you; it is not easy being Lone Ranger! I posted to allow others to adopt convolution while you work out how to automate it.

My original idea was to use JACK for this, turns out your solution is way simplier.
