[SOLVED] We're Sorry; the installer crashed

During installation, if you see this following message in the partitioning tab:

We’re sorry; the installer crashed. After you close this window, we’ll allow you to file a bug report using the integrated bug reporting tool. This wil gather information about your system and your installation process. The details will be sent to our bug tracker and a developer will attend to the problem as soon as possible.

TypeError: ‘NoneType’ object is not subscriptable

Ubiquity will throw the error when it cannot find any medium to install the operating system to.

This usually means your BIOS is not configured correctly. Snakeoil requires your storage devices to be recognised as SCSI devices, to do this you need to get into the BIOS and use AHCI mode. Refer to the manual for details: Linky
