During installation, if you see this following message in the partitioning tab:
Ubiquity will throw the error when it cannot find any medium to install the operating system to.
This usually means your BIOS is not configured correctly. Snakeoil requires your storage devices to be recognised as SCSI devices, to do this you need to get into the BIOS and use AHCI mode. Refer to the manual for details: Linky
