=== Steps to create persistent USB running SnakeOil ===
# Download pre-installed Ubuntu 22.04 (64bit PC AMD64) server [http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-server/jammy/daily-preinstalled/curren… here]
# Use Balena Etcher to burn image on USB stick (Rufus does not work)
# Connect terminal, keyboard to PC, if required. On laptops without a network port, will need a USB network adapter; not all will work with Ubuntu and startup process will stall if not working.
# Boot PC, enter F10 (or equivalent) to bring up boot options. On mine, selected 3rd option without UEFI
# Login ubuntu password ubuntu. You will be prompted to change password
# Run 1.3.0 script to install SnakeOil (or use Putty):<blockquote>bash -c "$(wget -qLO - <nowiki>https://artifacts.snakeoil-os.net/artifacts/snakeoil-installer.sh</nowi…;)</blockquote>
# Reboot PC and access SnakeOil via browser
# You can now change SnakeOil, activate etc. and it will be saved on USB.
This process is ideal for people with Windows PCs to try SnakeOil.
