Snakeoil OS 0.1.x is based on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, and it is getting long in the tooth.

As softwares like MPD and Squeezelite evolve, the libraries contained within this specific version of Ubuntu cannot keep up (it's a lot hard to get the new versions to work on 12.04).

Snakeoil OS began as an "image" of my Linux music machine as of Feb 29 2016, and unleashed into the Internet on the very same day.

I have a Denon DVD-2930. Used it primary for CD/SACD playback in my HT setup. And it works fine. The only drawback is that it couldn't play DVD-Rs. After a few minutes the player will just freeze. The player is also very noisy in general.
